Prepared by: PBIC Livable Community Webinar Series
Date: November 10, 2011
Summary: Rising interest in bicycle and pedestrian travel, coupled with a boom in mobile and web devices and applications, creates ample motivation for leveraging these technologies for planning. Planners across the country are putting these technologies to use for data collection and encouragement activities. Guests from Washington, DC, San Francisco, and Minneapolis joined us to describe the process of a technology they put to use, its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities offered, and the results of incorporating it into their project. Presented by:
- Andrew Rankin, Commuter Connection
- Elizabeth Sall, San Francisco County Transportation Authority
- Gizachew “Giz” Andargeh, Washington, DC, Office of Planning
